About
At the earliest age possible Kevin was fascinated with anything that could be taken apart. At first these things didn’t go back together. As time went on the focus of items being taken apart became electronic devices. Learning more about electricity and electronics as a kid sparked interest that led to a career.
After a short time as an electrical apprentice in residential and commercial buildings it was time to take apart larger things. In 2009 he graduated, top of the class, from Northwest Lineman College. After graduation he completed his apprenticeship in Dallas, TX working for one of the country’s largest utility companies, Oncor Electric Delivery. It was soon time to return home to California. Working for another large utility, PG&E, Kevin learned more about the electrical industry and gained valuable experience. During the time that he was with PG&E he worked to keep the lights on regardless of the time of day or weather. He also learned skills related to underground utility installation including proper operation of digging equipment and other large equipment.
After years in the utility industry he decided to take an unusual choice to step away from it to spend time giving back in volunteer work. Finding much joy in this work he needed to find a way to keep doing it, so he returned to residential and commercial electrical work bringing with him specialized skills that he gained from working in utilities. Working as a Certified Electrician he was able to become a seasoned electrician able to handle jobs as small as installing an outlet to large service installs requiring utility transformers and vaults.
Kevin now makes his knowledge and abilities available to you through Marundee Electric!
